Keep copies of the submitted form and uploaded documents because you may need to answer questions from the same evidence later.
Visitors focus on purpose, funds and return plans. Students need CAS, fee and maintenance evidence, and sometimes ATAS or tuberculosis results. Skilled Worker applicants need CoS details, role and salary evidence, and sometimes criminal record certificates depending on the job. Family routes need relationship, accommodation, income and English-language evidence where relevant.
Bank statements should be recent, traceable and consistent with your declared income. A sudden large deposit should be explained with a legitimate source document. Invitation letters should include the host details and relationship, but they do not replace your own evidence that the visit is affordable and temporary.
